" How a block of
chocolate, a glass of wine and 30 minutes surfing the net led to a breakthrough in curing
my panic attacks."

If
you've tried many techniques and numerous products to help control your panic or anxiety attacks and failed, then you will most likely be
able to relate to me. But now I have discovered a natural cure and never have to worry
about the fear of having another panic attack again.
Here is my
story My name is Diane and
although during my youth I always had a tendancy to 'worry' about things more than most
people, I found that once I reached adulthood the symptoms became magnified, and began
to impact my daily life.
Every
time I started to feel that familiar cold
feeling of panic rising in the pit of my stomach, it would very quickly escalate into even
more physical symptoms such as shortness of breath, trembling, fear of losing control or
doing something embarrissing and the feeling of dizziness. These symptoms would then
feed my anxiety and it was impossible to reason with myself when physically I was so
out of control.
Being involved in two armed
hold-ups certainly doesn't
help!
Anyone who suffers
anxiety will understand the initial feeling they have before all panic sets in, and how no matter
what you try, or how illogical you tell yourself these feelings are - the way you feel sabotages and
overrides anything you try to do to calm yourself.
What are Panic
and Anxiety Attacks? A
normal reaction to stress is anxiety. It helps you deal with tense situations such as an
unpleasant work environment, preparing to deliver a major presentation or studying for an
exam. Basically, anxiety helps us cope with situations. However, when anxiety develops
excessively and turns into feelings of dread of daily situations it becomes a disabling
condition.
Panic Attacks on the other hand are
sudden urges of overwhelming fear that
comes without warning or any obvious reason. Panic Attacks are far more intense than
experiencing anxiety or just being 'stressed out.'
One out of every 75 people worldwide
will experience a panic attack at one time in their lives.
Statistics from The National
Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) state that in any given year, about 1/3 of American adults
have at least one panic attack. Thankfully, most of these adults never develop repeated
panic attacks.
I also discovered that although panic and anxiety attacks are amongst the
most common forms of emotional disorders, they also have the lowest rate for people
seeking help. Coincidently, about 3/4 of people who experience panic attacks are women, beginning
most often when they are in their 20's and 30's - exactly the age when my own levels of anxiety
escalated.
What I've
tried... Initially I tried
avoidance to try and remove myself from
situations that I knew might trigger an anxiety or panic attack. It's certainly the simplest
option - to avoid putting yourself in any situation where you feel at risk. The only problem with this was that gradually the
number of things I had to avoid became so restrictive it affected my quality of life - and that
of my partner at the time who couldn't handle what he couldn't understand and
left.
A good example of this is a situation a friend had years ago with her partner who
had a fear of flying. Her goals were to travel the world, and yet her partner couldn't bring
himself to get on a plane. His need to avoid this situation had a real and severe impact on their
plans, holidays and future together.
Similarly for me, I would avoid any situation I knew
would trigger feelings of anxiety - unless my partner was there. This could have been catching the
train home from work, going to the shops -simple activities like that, but suddenly my life needed
to revolve around his schedule.
You can imagine the pressure it puts on someone to have their partner needing to
completely revolve their life around them - how suffocating that would feel and the freedom that
takes away from both parties.
Eventually I became so affected that I tried anti-anxiety drugs such as
Xanax, which helped with the physical symptoms, however this of course just masked the problem and
didn't treat the underlying causes. In reality - I became totally dependant on taking the drugs,
and this became yet another anxiety for me, as I then believed if I didn't take them I would
definitely have
an attack.
In the end I felt trapped in a situation beyond my control, very alone and totally
afraid and lost about what I could do to escape from this vicious cycle.
Eventually, I found something that
worked.... Then I stumbled
across Panic Away. At first I thought that based on my past experiences, this had
virtually no chance of working - but I was about to be proved
wrong.
Desperate for a way out I tried the
Panic Away program anyway, and at last found a light at the end of the
tunnel.
Panic Away looks at both the
physical and mental components of a
panic attack or anxiety - and recognises that you can't treat them in isolation. To overcome
the anxiety itself you need to confront both the cause, AND it's effect.
I found this invaluable in
understanding and separating the physical symptoms and responses from the mental self-talk
and beliefs that ultimately lead to the attack.
For example - Panic Away explains
why your body reacts in a certain way to stress and anxiety, and what these symptoms really
mean. It helps you accept and
understand these reactions, rather than fight them and allow them to be
another trigger for your panic. It also talks about food and other general health factors
that many people would never consider a contributor to their stress.
Panic Away also explains the role of
your thought processes in supporting your anxiety, and how these can be recognised,
managed and changed to address the triggers of your panic or anxiety
attack.
As I mentioned - the benefit fo
Panic Away is that it looks at both the cause AND the effect - and aims to help you
understand and manage both of these.
Panic Away was able to provide me
with the tools and information - including a good understanding of why my panic/anxiety
attacks were occurring, that allowed me to deal with and recognise the cause of my anxiety.
This allowed me to manage and deal
with the underlying causes, and not just the symptoms - and the end result is
relief!
Here's why I recommend
it.... - It
was developed by a person who was a sufferer for many years.
- The root cause and prevention of panic and anxiety attacks is
revealed.
- There are no drugs involved and therefore no harmful side
effects.
- It is an easy to follow program.
- Is extremely effective.
Above
all else, the most important aspect for me was the support I received once I
started the program. Personalized one-on-one coaching when I needed it and regular email updates.
For those suffering panic and anxiety attacks you are not alone and genuine support is
available.
At Panic Away they really cared
about my progress.
Last time I checked you could get a
50% discount, but I'm not sure how long this will last.
If you can relate to my
story, and like I was, are desperately looking for a way out of the debilitating
cycle of panic and anxiety attacks then I highly recommend you grab your copy of Panic
Away and start the journey to living your life free
from fear of your next panic or anxiety attack.
I
sincerely wish you all the very best.
